I love the visual style of M.C. Escher.
It's probably old news but I finally learned about the game Monument Valley this week. It's beautiful and clearly an homage to Escher's art. The puzzle game requires traversing a map of impossible constructions and geometry.
Here's a good example of what you have to twist your mind around (you have to go up the stairs, then across the bridge, then down the ladder, then rotate the platform, then go back up in an impossible direction):
The original game is absolutely gorgeous and worth it just for the visuals and audio. The new levels ($2 extra) are more difficult than the first set and even more reminiscent of Escher's wackier art. More like this please!
